The Pillivuyt factory was founded in 1818 in central France. At the time, Pillivuyt supplied decorated and custom-made pieces for the great royal courts of Europe. What is the origin of materials

All the raw materials used in the manufacture of Pillivuyt porcelain come from European quarries. 75% of these materials even come directly from France! We can guarantee this because Pillivuyt is one of the last porcelain manufacturers to produce its own paste in its workshops. A quick wink! And our artisans continue with traditional shaping in the creation of the dough.

What are the qualities
PILLIVUYT porcelain?

Food hygiene guarantee.
‍Pillivuyt porcelain is fired at a very high temperature (1400°C), which gives the products a very high resistance to thermal shock, a total non-porosity preventing any bacterial development and thus guaranteeing maximum food hygiene and perfect neutrality to tastes.
Unique thermal shock resistance. Absorbing temperature differences (from -30°C to + 350°C), Pillivuyt products can be placed in the freezer and put directly into the traditional oven or microwave.* With the exception of items decorated with gold or platinum, which cannot be used in the microwave.
‍Unlimited cooking.
‍All our products can be used in traditional ovens and microwaves. The quality of porcelain also allows them to be used on gas and electric hotplates with a diffuser. In addition, our Toulouse and Ulysse pressure cookers can be used with all types of cooking methods including induction.

Yes, we have a factory store open to the general public. It is located at the entrance to the factory: Rue de la Manufacture, 18500 Mehun-sur-Yèvre.
